Dustin Karrer is the head boys basketball coach at Brentwood Christian and is entering his fourth season in that role for the Bears. Karrer also teaches Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship at BCS.

Prior to his hiring in 2021, Karrer was the head basketball coach and athletic director at New Braunfels Christian Academy for three years, and transitioned to a role as the associated head coach at Our Lady of the Lake University for three years after that. He also has experience abroad, coaching for Kerasan Prishtina, a professional basketball organization in Kosovo, as well as the FIBA U18 squad for Kosovo for two years. 

Karrer has led the Bears to three consecutive 20-plus win seasons, including a district championship this past season, when the program also reached the TAPPS state tournament for the first time since 1998. Karrer is a former silver medalist with his FIBA squad and has led his HS teams to four district championships and three state tournament appearances in his career. 

He was recently wed to his new bride, Shelby, and is originally from San Antonio. Karrer graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in Kinesiology.
