Paula Trejos

Paula Trejos took over the BCS volleyball program in the summer of 2023 and led the Lady Bears to a district championship and TAPPS 4A state runner-up finish during her first year as head coach.

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Trejos represented her country at the national level before moving to the United States during her college years. She began her collegiate volleyball career at Pratt Community College in Kansas, where she earned All-American status and was Freshman of the Year in 2008. She was also enshrined in the school’s 2012 Hall of Fame class.

From Pratt, she then played two additional years of volleyball at Wayland Baptist University in Lubbock, Texas and has a degree from both Wayland Baptist and Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in her hometown of Bogota.

Trejos, who also teaches high school and middle school art and graphic design at Brentwood, has over ten years of experience coaching club volleyball in the area and beyond, and was the assistant varsity coach at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School for two years prior to accepting the job at Brentwood.
