Anthony Brown is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the volleyball program.

A local product of his hometown, Brown was a college track and field athlete at The University of Texas at Austin, where he competed in the 400- and 800-meter runs while with the Longhorns. He graduated with a degree in management, and continued his athletic career at the U.S. Olympic trials, where he competed as a sprinter and a cyclist in 1980 and 1988, respectively. 

Brown currently owns and runs his Austin-area gym, The Way, and has since its inception in 2007. A haven for top athletes, Brown has trained over 200 Division I athletes at his gym, over 50 of whom have played professionally in leagues such as the NFL, NBA and MLB. He has also worked with various Olympic athletes and has over 30 years of total coaching and training experience. 

Prior to opening The Way, he worked in sales and marketing roles for 20 years at stops which included IBM and BCM Software. He has three children.
