Sandy Arguijo is the assistant coach for high school and middle school cross country for girls and boys at Brentwood Christian School. Also a substitute and office aide on campus, she is entering her fourth year coaching at BCS.

A former teacher who retired after 31 years of service, Arguijo’s vast experience in athletics include coaching everything from volleyball, basketball and track and field for the Special Olympics. She has also spent time as a YMCA sports coordinator and referee.  When not coaching, Arguijo enjoys competing in triathlons and races in her spare time, and is known to help push our Brentwood athletes by lacing up her shoes and running during practices with our Bears and Lady Bears.

Originally from Sweeny, Texas, Arguijo moved to Austin in 1995. She graduated from Texas Women’s University with a double bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education and followed that up with a Master’s of Curriculum Instruction from Concordia University.

Arguijo and her husband, Lynn, are especially proud of their 24 nieces and nephews.
