The Brentwood Christian School girls basketball team was a young program this year, featuring just two upperclassmen.

One of those upperclassmen, senior Zaniah Williams, was injured in December and missed the remainder of the season, highlighting the youth of the program and forcing others to step up to fill the void.

The team finished 11-18 on the season, earning a playoff spot from District 2-5A. The team lost to eventual state champion Midland Christian in the TAPPS area playoffs.

BCS earned seven all-district honors:

First team: Sophomore Anu Oguntade
Second team: Sophomores Ella Kennedy, Ella Crouch; junior Rachel Walker
Honorable mention: Freshmen Ari Rainelli, Kat Morgan; senior Zaniah Williams

Williams earned the nod despite not playing in any district games, a rarity in today's day in age. Her body of work and respect amongst the district coaches was on full display in the voting.

The team figures to return all of its all-district players minus Williams and will look to build further heading into the 2025-26 campaign.
