The Brentwood Christian School boys basketball team continues to rack up postseason awards following a stellar 2024-25 season.

Junior Marcus Zelee was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) all state team recently, reinforcing a campaign where he was named District MVP and first-team all state by TAPPS. Zelee averaged over 16 points, five rebounds and five steals for the Bears this year and is widely recognized as one of the top players in Texas in the class of 2026.

Players alone do not make a team, however, and BCS had two others honored by TABC for their contribution to the program's success.

Senior Bolu Bayo-Ajayi was selected as one of the student managers of the year by TABC, a prestigious award given to only a handful of high schoolers. After playing in the program from his freshman to junior seasons, Bayo-Ajayi shifted to a managerial role this year, earning the moniker of the "OPs" guy (as in operations manager) for the Bears.

His efforts in stat tracking, managing equipment, and assisting in player development through practices and games were vital parts of his impact on the program.

Assistant coach and JV head coach Connor White was selected as a finalist for the TABC Assistant Coach of the Year award, marking the second consecutive appearance on the list for the BCS alum.

White, in his third year at Brentwood Christian as a coach after graduating from the school a few years prior, continues to be a positive influence of young men and dedicated servant to the school's academic and athletic mission field.
