Our Lady Bears volleyball team is on the road this week at the Westwood Showcase Tournament, hosted by Round Rock ISD's Westwood High School. The tournament will be Thursday, Aug. 15 through Saturday, Aug. 17.
The Lady Bears will have pool play on Thursday and Friday before moving to bracket play on Saturday.
The team is coached by Paula Trejos, and features seniors Abigail Kampman, Rayen Flandes, Quinn Kirchoff, Ariba Mohammed, Elisha Burks and Asia Anderson, juniors Claire Montgomery and Addison Everline and sophomores Peyton Tucker and Henley Magee.
After a second-place finish in all of TAPPS 4A last season, the team is looking to make a successful move up to TAPPS 5A and will compete in a district that includes local teams Hyde Park and Regents School of Austin, as well as newcomers Grace Community School, Bishop Dunne and Brook Hill School.
