The Lady Bears cross country team got off to a great start this season at the Savio Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 28.
The team had five runners finish in the top 35, led by junior Harper Counts, who won the race with a time of 11:45. Junior Hailyn Counts took third at 12:59, while sophomore Lynden Worley (17), senior Charis McGaughy (32) and freshman Scarlet Harlan (34) rounded out the top five.
