The Brentwood Christian School varsity football team won its first home game of the season on Friday, Sept. 6, taking out crosstown rival St. Dominic Savio, 53-14.
The Bears were lead by a stellar running game performance; senior Conor Schehl ran for 167 yards and four touchdowns. A slew of BCS runners got in on the action, including junior Esteban Gutierrez, who also ran for 97 yards and a score.
Through the air, junior Brayden Jennings was 4-for-8 with a pair of touchdowns to junior wideouts Gabe Washington and Zach Czerlinsky.
This Friday, the Bears hit the road for a matchup with Legacy Prep Christian Academy from Magnolia. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be livestreamed through the Broadcast tab of the website.
