Halfway through its district slate, the Brentwood Christian School football team is in full control of its destiny for the remainder of the season.
After a tough loss, 42-14, to state-ranked Regents School of Austin on Friday, Oct. 18, the Bears sit at 1-2 in TAPPS Division II District 2 play. The team is 4-3 overall, and with three games to play, still has the opportunity to make the postseason after moving up one classification this season.
This Friday, the Bears will host senior night against district winless Bishop Dunne, followed by back-to-back road tilts with rival Hyde Park and Brook Hill School. Both Hyde Park and Brook Hill sit just above the Bears in the standings, and a win against either would give Brentwood Christian a great opportunity to finish in the top four and qualify for the postseason.
