The Brentwood Christian School swim program had its first meet of the 2024 season on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Battle for the Crown meet at the Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio.
The Bears competed well, earning some PRs in the process, with individuals from freshmen to senior swimmers finishing in the top five in various events at the meet.
Freshman Chayce Lee took second in the boys 200 individual medley, while fellow freshman Ali Nelson-Cook was third in the girls 200 freestyle. Seniors Gus Ebner (fourth in the boys 50 freestyle) and Jennifer Montier (second in the girls 100 butterfly and tied for 2nd in the girls 100 backstroke) picked up where they left off last season at their last first meet of their high school careers.
The team will head back to the Alamo City on Friday, Nov. 22, for the 4A TISCA competition, also held at Josh Davis Natatorium.
