Brentwood Christian School volleyball players Claire Montgomery, a junior, and seniors Rayen Flandes and Abigail Kampman were named to the TAPPS 5A all state team on Wednesday.
Montgomery, who was also the District 2-5A MVP, was awarded first team recognition, while Flandes, the Outstanding Setter of the Year in 2-5A, was second team.
Kampman was a force in the middle for the Lady Bears, blocking 107 shots and earning Honorable Mention all-state in the process.
The awards cap a strong season for the volleyball team, which nearly hit the 30-win mark and won district for a fourth consecutive season. The team lost to Lubbock Trinity, 3-2, in the area round of the TAPPS playoffs.
Montgomery led BCS in kills, digs and aces this season while notching her 1,000 kill as a varsity player. Flandes, a four-year starter, led the team in assists from her setter spot and tallied over 2,500 in her high school career.
