The Brentwood Christian School football team was honored this week with four players from its 2024 team as part of the Austin American Statesman's Central Texas All Area Football team.
Seniors Conor Schehl and Victor Koncaba were both listed as top offensive players. The seniors, who were both all-district honorees, helped the Bears rush for over 2,500 yards this season from their running back and offensive line spots, respectively.
Koncaba was also named the TAPPS Division II District 2 Offensive MVP and was an all-state award winner, as well.
Elsewhere, junior Zach Czerlinsky was honored as a top defensive player after stuffing the stat sheet on defense with 94 total tackles and three interceptions. Czerlinsky was an offense (wide receiver) and defense selection on the all-district team.
Junior quarterback Brayden Jennings was an honorable mention selection on the all-area team, accounting for over 2,000 yards through the air and on the ground.
As a team, the Bears went 5-5 this year, narrowly missing the playoffs in a crowded district field.
