The Brentwood Christian boys cross country team was in familiar territory this past Saturday, Oct. 19.

Atop the standings at the conclusion of the race, that is.

The boys, led by a second-place performance from senior Hollis Harlan, were able to hold off Grace Community School by four points and win the TAPPS 2-5A District meet. Junior Nico Napper (fourth) and junior Joshua Gonzalez (eighth) also finished in the top 10 for the Bears.

TAPPS awards all-district status to the top 10 runners. BCS also received impressive runs from sophomore Xavier Parra (11th), senior Gino Burke (13th) and sophomore Jacob Klein-Bradham (14th).

The boys next move on the TAPPS state meet, which is set for Monday, Oct. 28 in Waco.
